tl; dr I’m sad and taking a brief break from writing this story, and I love all of you and read and cherish every single word of praise you’ve ever sent me for my writing.

Someone posted a comment on another site where I post my fanfic that really upset me. It was not a criticism of my writing. Not at all. In fact, the person who made the harsh comments was a fan of the story and had been following it for a while. The comments criticized me for not responding individually to comments on my stories (which is I think the core of this person being upset with me, because I never replied to HER comments), and for being crass enough to accept commissions for my fanfiction—which I accepted reluctantly, and only to write them FASTER during the time of the year where every waking minute was spent doing freelance editing, and where I earn the bulk of the money I live on for the entire year. I was going to keep writing them for free, as I have done for my 130,000+ words of Wincest. The commissions were just to fit them into my schedule now without losing as much money. Even with the commissions, I still lose money to write this story, because this short-term freelance gig pays me what works out to a high hourly rate, because I work really fast, clean and hard.
